Flu vaccinations

In accordance with the Department of Health Guidelines, we recommend an influenza vaccination for patients with asthma, diabetes, chronic heart, lung, kidney disease, residents of nursing and rest homes, expectant mothers and for everyone over the age of 65 years. We usually run a Saturday flu clinic in early October with catch up opportunities if people cannot attend. Please review our news page for flu vaccine updates

Pneumococcal vaccination

Pneumococcal vaccination is recommended in adults over 65yrs and given as part of the routine childhood immunisations. The vaccination is usually given once at the age of 65yrs but extra doses are sometimes given to patients at risk of pneumococcal infections. We will contact you if this is due or offer it opportunistically.
