Flu vaccinations

In accordance with the Department of Health Guidelines, we recommend an influenza vaccination for patients with asthma, diabetes, chronic heart, lung, kidney disease, residents of nursing and rest homes, expectant mothers and for everyone over the age of 65 years. We usually run a Saturday flu clinic in early October with catch up opportunities if people cannot attend. Please review our news page for flu vaccine updates

Pneumococcal vaccination

Pneumococcal vaccination is recommended in adults over 65yrs and given as part of the routine childhood immunisations. The vaccination is usually given once at the age of 65yrs but extra doses are sometimes given to patients at risk of pneumococcal infections. We will contact you if this is due or offer it opportunistically.,an%20infection%20in%20the%20lungs)

Shingles vaccination

Shingles vaccinations are being offered by the nurses for eligible patients. Please see this information to see if you are due this. You can also contact the reception team to see if you are due this vaccine

Coronavirus vaccination

We will be offering booster coronavirus vaccinations for eligible patients when these are recommended by the Department of Health. We will usually offer these vaccinations on a Saturday or evening clinic but there will be catch up appointments with the nurses. If we cannot supply the vaccine then we will redirect you to another NHS provider.

Childhood immunisations

Our nurses provide childhood vaccination appointments on a Tuesday morning. You will be contacted directly when your child is due vaccination provided they are registered at our surgery. If you want to discuss any concerns about vaccinations please book a telephone appointment with one of the medical team.

Travel vaccinations

Our nurses provide travel clinic appointments. There is a form to complete at the GP reception to tell us where you are travelling and the travel dates. Once this form is completed our nurses will get in touch to tell you which vaccinations are available through the GP surgery.,hepatitis%20A
